The next best thing

How do you evaluate the “next best thing” in Christian Counseling? Dr. Phil of “Musings of a Christian Psychologist” proposes the following:

a) Read with an open mind.
b) Note the techniques and interventions they use to solve the problems they see.
c) Look for the assumptions, worldviews, presuppositions, etc. that bleed through on their pages.
